Privacy Policy

We collect the minimum needed to run the platform and the classes it supports:

• ▸Account details — your email address and the profile information you choose to add (such as your name).
• ▸Enrollment and attendance records — which cohort you joined, which sessions you attended, and your progress through the materials.
• ▸Payment records — handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and basic transaction metadata. We never receive or store your card number.
• ▸Support correspondence — messages you send us when you ask for help.

We do not collect data we don't need, and we do not buy or append data about you from other sources.

We use your data for three purposes only:

• ▸Running classes — managing enrollments, cohorts, attendance, and your student account.
• ▸Providing materials — giving you access to decks, lab sheets, and course resources tied to your enrollment, during and after class.
• ▸Support — answering your questions and resolving issues with your account or enrollment.

We don't sell your data, we don't share it with advertisers, and we don't use it to build profiles for marketing beyond communicating with you about the services you've signed up for.

We use essential cookies only — the session cookie that keeps you signed in to your student account. That's it. There are no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, and no third-party analytics pixels on this platform. Because we use no non-essential cookies, there's no cookie banner to click through.

A small number of service providers process data on our behalf, each limited to its specific job:

• ▸Supabase — hosts our database and authentication. Your account and enrollment records live here, protected by row-level security.
• ▸Stripe — processes payments. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never pass through our servers.
• ▸Email provider — delivers sign-in codes and enrollment-related emails to your address.

Each provider receives only the data it needs to perform its function, and each is bound by its own privacy and security commitments. We don't share your data with anyone else unless required by law.

We keep your account and enrollment records while your account is active, so your materials and course history remain available to you. If you delete your account — or ask us to — we remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain records (for example, transaction records kept for tax and accounting purposes). Support correspondence is kept only as long as it's useful for resolving your issue and improving our service.

Under applicable privacy law, you have the right to:

• ▸Access — ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• ▸Correct — ask us to fix inaccurate or outdated information.
• ▸Delete — ask us to erase your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@navysteel.ai and we'll respond promptly. You won't be charged for a reasonable request, and we'll verify your identity before acting on it — that's a protection for you, not a hurdle.

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where the change meaningfully affects how we handle your data, notify you by email.
